As far as the elections are concerned, it is not purely about making promises. It is about which philosophy that either McCain or Obama believe in to which people will surely believe as well. There are patterns. For sure, each political platform follows a specific agenda. There are exceptions though. Some of them may even focus on the issues at hand, the latest of which is that of the business debacle hitting and affecting the whole world to date.
It is easy to declare a business philosophy based on their promises. But the real problem lies on seeing it happen. Once placed into office, there is no guarantee that their claims will truly materialize. For one, politics is a matter of priorities meaning that not all claims and itineraries that were declared can push through.
You don’t have to figure out who will win or who will stick by their word. Either way, these political aspirants cannot give you a 100% guarantee. It has been proven anywhere that not all political shenanigans are indeed done. Especially considering that business needs are one of the most delicate topics that no one dares touch at the moment, it remains that people just have to figure out how to go about it independently.
Sadly, politicians are not included in the mix. They can lead but leading in all factors needed to be addressed is something that has to be questioned.
One thing apparently missing in whatever we do, both personally and professionally is the lack of ethics. Actually, the phrase “Don’t Trust Anyone” seems to be the easiest way to sum it all up and this includes relatives and friends. There are apparently a lot of factors that have lead to this and much of it includes money and power. Some may not admit it but the evils that these two have are apparently given more weight than traditional ethics among people who should trust each other.
Apparently families in some parts of the world have lost the true meaning of family ties. Living and financial survival is all that matters today. And thanks to the crisis and inflation plaguing any part of the world, this seems to be the trend as far as personal survival is concerned.
So if this is the case, why push for ethics when it is eventually being written off? Indeed much of this has been the doing of man himself. No longer can you afford to freely trust someone who has not intention for his own. At the end, there will always be some form of benefit and reward. This is something that will definitely be a reward and normally it includes money and properties.
So while we are all wondering where ethics has gone, much of it has gone to the new philosophies we have all instilled in ourselves. It is not pretty but it is a reality and we just have to face the facts surrounding it.
Not all businessmen are gifted with the right business philosophy and some may even question it. But in the minds of most people today, it would be best to stick to it and perhaps tweak it a bit so that they can be able to improve on whatever basic philosophy they have in mind.
There will be ideas thrown at you and experience to boot. Taken altogether, you can enhance you own beliefs and philosophy and mold it to one effective business model to which you will be the victor in the end. One’s philosophy is not always similar to others and for it to work, only a person who has conceptualized it will be able to make it do wonders.
There are people who will copy and take their own philosophy based on the default facts that they may inherit from you. But along the way, there will be differences and this includes either improving or wrecking it. But as long as it works for you, stick to it. Not many people have a standing philosophy in business and these days, you have to be ready to defend it and put it to good use at the maximized potential possible.
For every person, including yuppies and aspirants, there will always be something up for criticism. The main basis here is results. Some look for long-term goals while others want it immediately. Whatever the case may be, it just remains that personal philosophies in business will have their time to shine and depend on the person who implements them with confidence and trust.
When you get into politics, your world is bound to change a lot. For one, you have to be careful on what you say, who you talk to and how you live your lifestyle. All eyes will be on you and knowing how dirty the game of politics is, one false move will invite a lot of vultures feasting on your mistakes.
This applies to all levels of public office. Don’t think that if you are at the bottom of the heap that you will not be noticed. There are audits conducted since as we all know, graft and corruption are two of the main things that politics is famous for. For controlling groups, it is imperative that they put a stop to it and monitor how people in office are able to garner hidden wealth.
In a manner of speaking, you may say that philosophies are thrown out of the window as far as public service is concerned. No matter how sincere you may be, if you do not follow the game of political philosophy, you will end up like a lost sheep looking for proper ways to put yourself back into harness.
This is not to generalize. There are people who have been able to handle the dirty games and tactics of being in political power. But one thing you will note, a needed transformation of going beyond personal philosophy may be in order. If there is a case of being unable to adapt to philosophical standards then politics is the area hit by it.
As far as trust in transactions or with the people on the Internet is concerned, it is pretty much even. The manner to which you can trust and negotiate online has so far been leveled these days, making them practically in equal footing as far as daily activities is concerned.
The Internet philosophy of bringing people closer and making life easier through various developments on communication and e-commerce has come a long way. Since its inception, a lot of changes have evolved. There are still a number of people who have their doubts on how to properly transact and deal with people over the web but much of these figures have obviously dwindled.
A lot has to do with how controlling bodies aimed at protecting the interest of most people transacting over the web has been developed. Fraud and scammers are still around but this time around they can be traced and jailed if they are not careful. Unlike before when cybercops were not around to make sure that fear or some form of authority would be there to assist most people, the story is different now.
Add to the fact that online companies have been assisted pretty well also. To make a transaction work, steps to ensure that there is no wild goose chase in the offing has further honed online shopping and business over the web today.
The Internet philosophy has indeed changed. These days, the web has been the prime resource to check out. This and more are expected to ensure that this philosophy is further honed and brightened for the people having doubts on the Internet and its laurels.
Sticking to your own belief, regardless if it is by profession or through personal reasons is something no one can take away from us. Personal philosophy does not need to be commercialized to prove that we are right. Our own theories are based on what we have already proven to ourselves and that alone is enough to stand by them. Unlike many, one’s philosophy does not need to be adopted by another. Personality and outlook of two people are different and hence will carry different philosophies as well.
Compare yourself with another person. Or better yet with your brothers or sisters. While you all come from the same parents, your values and personal beliefs will not always coincide. Experience and beliefs based on what you see in the course of your growth build different perspectives and apparently you will live on your own beliefs separately. Whatever principles and beliefs you may have does not always become logical for them since you both have different perceptions based on built philosophies in life.
To illustrate, just compare careers. If one follows a routine desk job, the other may want to follow a different perspective like perhaps a more people-oriented path such as politics or sales. Some call it rivalry while others just want to discover new ways outside the traditional and proven methods. It is all about building on new philosophies which are not proven yet. These are normally cases where a person wants to prove to himself and to others that other personal philosophies can make or break what they want to develop.
One’s words are not enough to gather the trust and belief of most people. That is perhaps what best describes why most people would want to stick to beliefs based on more than one claim. For example, stating a fact on current social trends according to the viewpoint of one person is not immediately concurred by another for the reason that he wants to gather further support and backup for the claim. Such facts may include as acknowledging that social networking is the new way of expanding ties or that online dating is the new way of hooking up. Taken as a whole, people only believe once they are proven.
Theories and claims are not always believable especially when they are fresh. Another aspect is the stature of the person, regardless if he has higher studies. Fame is the only thing that can make a simple statement reliable and for the unknown people, don’t expect to get immediate credit for anything. These are all common traits that we have garnered from society and it doesn’t look like it will change anytime soon.
Take it from the early philosophers. Most of them in the early ages were perhaps laughed at for their claims. Not until their philosophical theories were ratified and proven were they acknowledged and we all know that when that time comes, they may have already passed away to stand tall for their claims. Philosophy does seem to be rewarding but only after some time. When they do, you can be assured that your name will be on everyone’s minds.
Finances are one of the hardest things to control these days and apparently there is more to saying that we will not spend or save a penny for a rainy day. These days, it is no longer a matter of I want this and I want that. It is about being logical and practical as far as consumer spending is concerned. In short, there is more to buying the things we love based on ads or what people tell us to buy.
Of course, there is always the reference towards buying needs based on importance of need. Using the model of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, people who use to ignore it may want to refer to it once again. These days, the things that Maslow had enumerated are for real. The other things that include electronics, mobile phones and pricey dinners or night outs are vices which now have to be controlled. In short, do not spend if you cannot save.
Being single or having parents to support you should not be your safety precaution. Most of us are adults and the act o being responsible can be done only if we really want to be one. We are no longer spoon-fed children to which we always know that there is someone to catch us when we fall. Wake up people, you should start facing the world and know your limits.
There is no better way to be responsible other than to manage your daily finances. Be logical and practical. One day you can boast that to your siblings as a good example to follow.
People who stand up for something may not necessarily make sense for others. It all boils down to upbringing and logic. The manner of living a person does may seem unorthodox for people who are accustomed to the standard way of life. But if you look around, the success people for instance, you will find that people living differently have made successful moves as far as their lives are concerned.
We cannot force people to believe in our philosophies. To them, we seem like crazy persons. But while many would laugh or downgrade you at first, it is quite funny to think how most of them would turn around after some years, forget about the past and look up to you as if they believed you from day one. In short, standing up for something may lead to you being a “somebody” in the future and this is regardless on whether you are pertaining to career, business or stature.
Weird as it may, the best way to define this kind of philosophy is trust and proving your worth. People have their share of being famous later on in life even if others would feel that they are crazy and don’t fit in. Perhaps you don’t fit in because you are part of the elite people who are different from the normal person. But the price to pay for it is becoming ignorant of the normal society. It is choice of sticking to your principle or giving up on it because others force you to.
Each person will have his or her own share of philosophical beliefs as far as principles are concerned. Once they are exposed or find themselves with friends or peers, there will be times that they will be tempted to alter some of these principles since they want to belong. As much as possible don’t resort to that. While it is true that you may have differences with other people, it remains that you have to stick to your own principles and values. If they work for you since you started believing in them, then why change them?
This personal philosophy covers a wide area for anyone. It may entail business decisions to personal ones. While you may find the beliefs of others as effective for themselves, remember that the same may not necessarily hold true to yourself. It is all about how you approach it. Personal philosophies may vary but are really meant to be unique for anyone these days. That is simply something that has to be put in mind.
For some, doing this may go as far as affecting relationships and socialization. People will look at you in a different light which may not necessarily be favorable. This should not bother you as a person. Just because someone else disagrees or is not at all comfortable with your philosophy means that you have to change for them. Even married couples experience this. While some would change in the initial parts of their union, you will find that they eventually fall back to the known principles that they had initially been known for. Personal philosophies are simply hard to alter especially once they are inherited and gotten accustomed to.
