The Philippines is indeed a gold mine for information technology professionals but the fact remains that they need to consider the fact that technology is more than purely educating people. One thing that they sorely lacking is implementation, an instance that has become one of the reasons why some countries always become last.

Locally, the Philippines fail to realize the value of Internet marketing. They pretty much discuss the importance of globalization but rely heavily on individuals using old tactics such as traditional travel or long distance communications to strike deals. By the time they agree on something, chances are that other global partner has long been a success.

The apprehension and common belief of local top executives is that they are afraid to pry away from the current trends of being successful. Current practices such as Internet Marketing and Blog Marketing are sound topics we see on the web and yet most of them choose to ignore it. One reason is that they are only looking for a local market and not the global opportunity.

It is apparent that not all people appreciate the value of globalization. They know it theoretically but the whole essence is sorely lacking when it comes to actual implementation. So in the end, it is a large opportunity lost not only because of arrogance but because they lack the confidence in allowing technology into their ventures.

The current business issues speak a lot. While many are looking at recession and possibly business closures, others are sitting comfortably and waiting for the expected boom from Internet technology. It is happening right now. They just choose to refrain from stepping out of their comfort zones.

Climate change and global warming issues have so far pushed us to lead eco-friendly lives. Many term it as going green but while others are able to cope and understand what it really means to really live an eco-conscious world, the fact remains that the whole philosophy surrounding eco-friendliness has to be further enhanced.

For one, many associate it with the color green. So with that in mind, trees, plants and nature are the first things that come into mind. This is partly true but if you want to generalize the whole eco-friendly philosophy, there is more to it that meets the eye. There is a reason why global warming and climate change are tagged part of it and if you would have your way, chances are you may discover that the branches included in it go a whole lot deeper.

4. Endangered Species
5. Alternative Energy

Each of these topics are in a niche of their own. Sum them all up and they comprise the whole essence of global warming and climate change. But if you take on them separately, you may be surprised to note that they are only about 5% roughly if you want to sum up their relevance to global warming.

Al Gore hit it right when he addressed this issue. Apparently he is vindicated and today, many of us are finding our own way on how to survive this unusual glitch we are mainly responsible for.

If the US government can easily decide and fight for providing aid to the business sector, expect a lot of issues to come up. For one, any business for that matter can simply declare financial instability and seek financial assistance from the US. That is as simple as that and the value of truly engaging in business may yet lose its luster. A Bush Blunder? Perhaps. The intention was good but that fact is that if you lack the business knowledge to understand the mechanics of proper business operation ethics, chances are you have made a decision out of impulse.

President Bush cannot be entirely blamed. He is simply looking out for the welfare of his country. But while that is obvious, it is also a move which many foresee as lacking in deliberation and analysis. You can pass on the bill to Congress for approval. But wait a minute. Who are the people in congress? Political figures too right?

So if common sense were to be inserted, who in his right mind would not vote for the bill? They are part of the whole mess and if they are not careful, they may be placing themselves close to recession and economic turmoil. And if you are in that concerned country, where would you get the liberal mind to vote against it?

The world is watching and surely many sectors are keeping quiet. It is a move many are criticizing. Only time will tell on whether their own personal philosophies will indeed be ratified as far as doing business is concerned.

As far as the elections are concerned, it is not purely about making promises. It is about which philosophy that either McCain or Obama believe in to which people will surely believe as well. There are patterns. For sure, each political platform follows a specific agenda. There are exceptions though. Some of them may even focus on the issues at hand, the latest of which is that of the business debacle hitting and affecting the whole world to date.

It is easy to declare a business philosophy based on their promises. But the real problem lies on seeing it happen. Once placed into office, there is no guarantee that their claims will truly materialize. For one, politics is a matter of priorities meaning that not all claims and itineraries that were declared can push through.

You don’t have to figure out who will win or who will stick by their word. Either way, these political aspirants cannot give you a 100% guarantee. It has been proven anywhere that not all political shenanigans are indeed done. Especially considering that business needs are one of the most delicate topics that no one dares touch at the moment, it remains that people just have to figure out how to go about it independently.

Sadly, politicians are not included in the mix. They can lead but leading in all factors needed to be addressed is something that has to be questioned.

We see a lot of people taking up higher studies. Normally these are the additional vocational degrees or the professional schools we know as Masters degrees. While not all people can have the time or afford to get into them, being adjudged a certified MBA degree holder logically holds a brighter future for anyone. Or does it?

For one, the philosophical hypothesis that most MBA graduates hold are often for the better in any business perspective. Advanced education often holds that people with MBA degrees are seasoned and adequately trained to handle real life issues in the world of business and management. But while that is something expected today, it seems that the surplus of MBA degree holders has been somewhat overflowing, making it a standoff as far as choosing the right person with the right degree to handle a business that wants to follow a certain route.

Especially now that most companies are experiencing a lot of turbulence in the business world, one cannot help but think if MBA degree holders still have a bearing in business entities. Are they a need at this point?

From the way things are going, it seems business can function without them. It is either that or companies are just trying to preserve their salary caps since MBA degree holders will be asking for the stars.

With that in mind, does the MBA philosophy make any sense? Why take up advanced professional studies if they are no longer recognized in the field of business? Maybe for entrepreneurs it is a requirement but as far as career is concerned, a lot of questions on why they should take an MBA degree is in the air.

For businesses, the need to save on cost is an apparent need. But while many are expecting most companies to try and shy away from expenditures, old-hand advertising has surprised many. For one thing, businesses are not shelving their advertising platforms due to inflation. In fact most of them have even gone as far as being more aggressive, citing the current situation as something that is a wise investment as far as capturing their target market even better.

Such may be called a risky philosophy. But if you want to succeed, risk is included. Businesses are prone to failure but for advertising, exposure and building on your current standing in the market is a definite must. There will be costs but weighing that out with losses from being too conservative will not lead you anywhere. It is a philosophy that many have hit but perhaps business heads know a thing or two when it comes to taking chances and grabbing every opportunity as much as they can.

Indeed, logical approaches call for wiser decisions in the field of advertising in business. But people today are reading more and that alone is an opportunity to gain exposure. While many are drawing back, choosing to save their assets and revenue, many are gambling on deriving better exposure. In the field of business, this is perhaps one of the things that many low class executives will fail to realize. Advertising now and getting the nod is something pertinent and key towards the future of any business in the market.

If any of you have a new business philosophy to adapt these days then I am sure that many people will want to hear it. Traditional business philosophies are surely no longer in play as we see most companies groping for form, baffled by the turn of events that has gone as far as victimizing the big companies, finance and investing companies at that, to which the call for new philosophy in business is a dire need.

But while many of these companies are trying to hold back their fears and current crop of business strategies, a new business philosophy is bound to ensue. Sure, this current state we find ourselves in is only temporary but it is also something that many find more than challenging. One wrong move and you may find your company filing for Chapter 11 or better known as “Bankruptcy”.

This is the last thing you would want and for sure, stable companies do not have this in mind. The needs to employ new business strategies through proper observation of the market and consumer behavior is a need to which new philosophies will surely come up.

Some may point to them as useless and even senseless. But at the rate that things are holding up these days, new blood from new ideas is a dire need. Some may not want to admit it but rather than hear that their company is closing shop, new business philosophies are the best recourse today.
